Dear Administration,
The morning of Friday August 14th, when I was leaving for work at 7:45 AM I noticed
my automatic sprinkler system running. I proceeded to shut off the system and
check my automatic timer. I found the date, time, run times and the odd/even day
were all messed up. I presume that a storm had messed up the system as it had
been running correctly earlier that week. I reset it all to the correct schedule and
have been watching to ensure it keeps the correct schedule.
The following day I received an Administrative Citation in the mail which was
written at 6:38AM on the Aug. 14th. I am requesting a waiver as I presume this was
cause by a storm, and I took corrective action in checking the system and fixing it
promptly.

To whom it may concern,
I have received the attached letter regarding my property at 808 2M Street for a
water violation. This year I have did seeding of the lawn, new landscape, and
installed a sprinkler system. I have the sprinkler system set for the times indicated
for water restrictions. The day tbat the incident happened there was a short power
outage that reset my system and I was not borne and had no idea the sprinkler was
going.

RE: Water Citation
To whom It may concern:
We would like to contest our water citation issued on 9/15/09, Our sprinkler system was set up to
automatically come on even days for watering, We did not realize that It came on 9/15 and so when we
got the citation we checked the settings. Some how the system mixed up the days. We called the
company for the sprinkler system and they said they have had Issues with the control panels and walked
us through how to fix It. Now we have re-programmed to come on for the even days again. We do not
feel we should have to pay this fine since we had good intentions on setting our sprinkler system to the
appropriate days and experience a malfunction In the sprinkler system control panel. We look forward
to hearing an outcome regarding your decision.
