I'm writing this letter in regards to a Water Restrictions Penalty that I got on Monday June 6th. I'm
not sure how I could have been watering when we were not even home. Both of my daughters that night had
their Girl Scout Ceremonies. My wife took one kid and I took the other. My sprinklers were lying in the
front yard and I know that a couple of the little boys in the neighborhood like to go around and turn them on
and play with the water. So if my sprinklers were on that is probably why. I fully understand the odd and
even days and the noon to 6 time frames. All I ask is that you understand that I do obey the restrictions in
place and that you waive the penalty that was given to me in mistake. I was totally taken surprised by this.

Water Board,
I want to request a administrative hearing about this citation. When the officer issued the citation I
was starting up and checking out my lawn sprinkler system for the year. The system had not been
run before June 6th when the citation was written. I do not have a lawn sprinkler service start the
system in the spring, I do it myself. If he would have checked at the house rather than just getting
an address and mailing the citation all of this would not be necessary. I do understand the odd -
even system for watering and if I was going to cheat on the watering regulations I sure wouldn't
do it in the middle of the afternoon right along Akin Road.
Please let me know where and when this hearing is to take place so that I can be sure to attend.

To whom it may concern;
I received a watering citation for our property at
3000 212th Street in Farmington, I didn't receive the citation from my renter until
yesterday June 15th.
On June 7th 1 was out at the property to get the sprinkler system up and running.
I thought it was set to start the next day June 8th but it went off that evening. The
renter did shut the system off and called me that evening. I went back out there on
the 8th and reset the system again - the rent told me it seems to be running on even
days and only once a day -at 4:30 - 9:00 am
I did not knowingly water on the wrong day and feel I shouldn't be fined for this
event. I took care of the problem well before receiving the citation.
