PUBLIC HEARINGS a) 7:00 PM- Continued Public Hearing on Special Exception Permit - Moving House This is a continued public from July 22 on the special exception permit for moving a house located at 301 Eighth Street. Roger Randall is proposing to move the house from it's current location to the location shown on the attached map. Residents located along the west portion of the proposed lot voiced concerns over potential excessive runoff and ponding within their backyards. At the time it was believed that a catch basin existed between the current residents properties and the newly created one. It was later discovered that this catch basin is proposed with the new Elm Street extension. This new catch basin will tie into the existing basin located directly south and then tie into the storm sewer that is existing along Ninth Street. Mr. Randall has since submitted a contour landscape plan which diagrams the elevation differences and runoff flow. The diagram indicates that in the rear the runoff will be directed toward the catch basins, while most of the runoff will occur toward the front and into Ninth Street. There will be approximately a four (4) foot elevation difference between the buremed portion near the house and the elevation near the proposed catch basin. Mr. Randall has also included an elevation level diagram of the landscape plan both of which are attached. The present land use for the new location is R-2 PUD. This zone requires a minimum lot size of 6,000 square feet with rear and side yard setbacks of six (6) feet and a front yard setback of twenty (20) feet. As shown on the plan, the lot consists of20,394 square feet and the house location meets all of the setback requirements. Access to the property will be from the new street extension. The house will be moved across the open grasslartd area and will not involve any crossing of streets or use of streets to move it to the final location. Building Inspection Division has verified that the house is structurally sound to be moved. Recommendation Approve the Special Exception permit for 301 Eighth Street and Mr. Randall contingent upon the satisfaction of the City Engineering Department. 3. ADJOURN ,'. . '. '., .....
