critical thinking exercises,which do not reflect an official public position.
Council work session outcomes should not be construed by the attending public and/or reporting media as the articulation of a formal City policy
position. Only official Council action normally taken at a regularly scheduled Council meeting should be considered as a formal expression of
the Ciry's position on any given mailer.

INTRODUCTION
Your February 11,2013 work session is slated to be the start of your goal setting/strategic
planning discussions for 2013 and beyond.
DISCUSSION
One of the items that the City Council annually performs is that of goal setting for the year.
After working here for a full calendar year it is clear that we need to spend time discussing and
implementing a number of strategic plans that look farther than just the current year.
BUDGET IMPACT
None.
ACTION REQUESTED
Come prepared to discuss your ideas and priorities for goal setting/strategic planning for 2013
and beyond.
