Home My WebLink About02/25/13Respectfully Submitted, Sue Miller Administrative Assistant MINUTES REGULAR WATER BOARD MEETING Monday, February 25, 2013 7:00 PM Council Conference Room 170 City Hall 430 Third Street Farmington, MN Members Present: Weierke, Snobeck, Jensen Members Absent: None Staff Present: City Engineer Schorzman, Administrative Assistant Miller. 1) Call to Order: The meeting was called to order at 7:OOPM by Chair Weierke. 2) Election of Officers MOTION by Jensen, second by Snobeck to continue with the current officers. Weierke as Chair, Jensen as Secretary and Snobeck as treasurer. APIF, MOTION CARRIED 3) Approve Agenda: MOTION by Weierke, second by Snobeck to approve the agenda as presented. APIF, MOTION CARRIED. 4) Approve Minutes January 28, 2013: MOTION by Weierke, second by Jensen to approve the minutes as presented. APIF, MOTION CARRIED. 5) Continued Business None 6) New Business a) Water Tower Cleaning Engineer Schorzman asked the Board what they thought about pressure washing the water tower this year. Member Jensen indicated that we need to stay on top of maintenance. Touch up painting was discussed and it was the consensus to have Engineer Schorzman contact Mark Rolfs and bring back information to the March meeting. b) Additional Cell Phone Antennas Engineer Schorzman noted that Sprint wants to put 3 directional antennas on our main water tower. Discussion centered on equipment placement. Member Jensen is against antennas on towers. The Board agreed to communicate with interested companies to see what is being proposed for the site. c) Water Patrol Discussion The Board agreed to get the process started for the Water Patrol position. 7) Approve Bills MOTION by Weierke second by Snobeck to accept the bills as presented in the amount of $13,505.78. APIF, MOTION CARRIED. 8) Open Forum Members identified some catch basins that were frozen over and not draining. Engineer Schorzman will pass along the locations to the Municipal services Director. Adjourn: MOTION by Weierke second by Jensen to adjourn at 7:38PM. APIF, MOTION CARRIED.
