3. CENTRAL TELEPHONE COMPANY
Al Cruise, engineering department for Central Telephone Company has
requested permission to build a two stall garage adjoining the
existing building on Fourth Street. The garage, as proposed, will
face Elm Street but have access from Fourth. The ordinance as now
written does not include a category for storage garages which will
need a Zoning Amendment and /or a variance /conditional use. The plan
is still being prepared and estimates of cost have not been submitted.
When more information is available, a special meeting may be required
to handle whatever changes are necessary in the City code in order to
accomplish the telephone company's objectives. The local contractor
has indicated an interest in proceeding whenever the Planning Commission
and City Council approves.
4. SUBDIVISION ORDINANCE
Be prepared to discuss the initial draft of the revised ordinance
which draws heavily from a similar ordinance used in the City of
Lakeville.
