4. Discussion
a. Draft Limited Commercial Ventures Ordinance — The Commission was generally in favor
of the ordinance as provided, but requested staff initiate contact with the landmark property
owners to make them aware of the proposed ordinance. This will be discussed further at the
May HPC meeting.
b. Urban Chicken Ordinance — Discussion — The Commission expressed some concern with
changing the ordinance so soon after adoption. However, they felt if an amendment is sought
it should remove the lot area requirement from the ordinance, but keep it restricted to the R -1
zone.
c. May 27th Heritage Preservation Basic Training — It was mentioned that the HPC will be
holding a training session on May 27th to discuss heritage preservation and community
development and that if any commission members wanted to attend they are welcome.
