SUBJECT: Canvass Results of November 4, 2014, General Election
DATE: November 7, 2014
DISCUSSION
The General Election was held on Tuesday,November 4, 2014, and as part of that election two
city council seats were included on the ballot.
The attached resolution shows the election results.
ACTION REQUESTED
Approve the attached resolution canvassing the results of the November 4, 2014, General
Election and declare that Jason Bartholomay and Tim Pitcher have been elected as city council
members. The terms of office for these two seats will begin on January 5, 2015.

RESOLUTION NO.R61-14
ACCEPTING RESULTS OF THE MUNICIPAL ELECTION
November 4,2014
Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a special meeting of the City Council of the City of
Farmington, Minnesota, was held in the Council Chambers of said City on the 7th day of November
2014 at 8:30 a.m.
Members Present: Larson,Bonar,Donnelly
Members Absent: Bartholomay,Fogarty
Member Donnelly introduced and Member Bonar seconded the following:
WHEREAS,the position of two,four-year terms on the City Council were being voted upon;and,
WHEREAS,the City Clerk has hereby certified to the Council the following results of the municipal
election voting:

NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED that the results of the municipal election are hereby
accepted and that Jason Bartholomay and Tim Pitcher be declared the winners in the contest for
Councilmembers.
This resolution adopted by recorded vote of the Farmington City Council in open session on the 7th
day of November 2014.
