Regular Meeting
September 9, 2014
1. Call to Order
Chair Rotty called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.
Members Present: Rotty, Kuyper, Rich, Bjorge,Franceschelli
Members Absent: None
Also Present: Tony Wippler—Planning Manager, Todd and Karen Hochsprung
2. Approval of Minutes
a) August 13,2014 Regular Meeting Minutes—Motion by Rich second by Bjorge to approve
the minutes as presented. APIF, Motion Carried.
3. Public Hearings —Chairperson Rotty opened all Public Hearings
a.Variance application to allow the expansion of a legal nonconforming use with the IP
Zoning District—Todd & Karen Hochsprung. Planning Manager explained that the
applicants are looking to add an addition to the existing home and constructing a detached
accessory structure. The property was rezoned in 2009 from A-1 (agriculture)to IP (Industrial
Park) as part of the 2030 Comprehensive Plan. Of the several properties rezoned, this was the
only one with residential use. Mr. Hochsprung stated that he wanted to move the accessory
structure further to the north. MOTION by Franceschelli second by Kuyper to close public
hearing. APIF, Motion Carried. Motion by Rich second by Franceschelli to approve the
variance request contingent upon the submission and approval of building permits. APIF,
Motion Carried.
4. Adjourn
MOTION by Kuyper, second by Rich to adjourn at 7:12PM. APIF, MOTION
CARRIED.
