REGULAR WATER BOARD MEETING

Members Absent: None
Staff Present:Kevin Schorzman,City Engineer,Sue Miller,Administrative Assistant
Call to Order:The meeting was called to order by Chair Weierke at 7:00 p.m.
1. Approve Minutes—July 26,2015—Motion by Weierke second by Snobeck to approve the minutes as
presented. APIF,Motion Carried.
2. Continued Business—None
3. Water Citation Appeals
a. Hansen—18559 Everest Path—Motion by Jensen second by Snobeck to deny appeal and leave
citation as issued. APIF,Motion Carried.
b. Lewis—20547 Camden Path—Motion by Weierke second by Jensen to waive second citation but to
leave the first citation as issued. Voting for:Weierke,Jensen,Abstain: Snobeck. Motion Carried.
4. New Business—
a. Farmington Water Fluoride Level—Engineer Schorzman explained that the U.S.Deaprtment of
Health and Human Services in conjunction with the Center for Disease Control provided new
guidance for fluoride levels. If the City wants to reduce the level of fluoride,they can apply for a
variance to do so. This likely will be a mandatory change in the future. This change will save the city
approx.$5,000-6,000 per year. Discussion followed and the consensus of the board was to have the
City Engineer go forward with the variance.
5. Approve Bills—Motion by Weierke second by Snobeck to approve the bills in the amount of$8596.17.

6. Open Forum—Member Weierke asked Engineer Schorzman to follow-up with Municipal services about the
boxes for the Hydrant Buddy that were to be installed in the trucks for transporting to sites.
Engineer Schorzman informed the Board that he will not be at the September meeting but,Municipal Services
Director Reiten will be in attendance.
7. Adjourn—Motion by Jensen second by Snobeck to adjourn at 7:28PM.APIF,Motion Carried.
