CITY COUNCIL MINUTES
WORK SESSION
AUGUST 29, 2016
Mayor Larson called the work session to order at 5:30 p.m.
Roll Call
Present-Larson, Bartholomay, Bonar,and Pitcher
Absent-Donnelly
Staff Present-Administrator McKnight and Community Development Director Kienberger
Agenda
Motion by Bartholomay,second by Bonar to approve the agenda as presented. APIF, motion
carried.
EDA Interviews
The city council interviewed four candidates for an open position on the Economic
Development Authority. The decision was made to interview the two candidates who could not
make the meeting on Tuesday, September 6, 2016 at 6:15 p.m.
Liquor Store Options Update
Community Development Director Kienberger and Administrator McKnight provided an update
on the options available for a downtown liquor store. The city council discussed a number of
issues related to this topic and directed staff to continue to work on the issue and report back
both temporary and long term options
City Administrator Update
Administrator McKnight presented an update on the following items.
• Reminded the city council that they will hold a joint work session with the Planning
Commission on Monday,September 12, 2016 to discuss The Orchards and Fairhill
project.
• Updated the city council on the selection on the new DCC Executive Director.

Motion by Bartholomay,second by Pitcher to adjourn the meeting at 7:16 p.m. APIF, motion
carried.
