R_-OO ACCEPTING RESULTS OF THE MUNICIPAL ELECTION November 7, 2000 Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a special meeting of the City Council of the City of Farmington, Minnesota, was held in the Council Chambers of said City on the 8th day of November 2000 at 7:00 p.m. Members Present: Members Absent: Member introduced and Member seconded the following: WHEREAS, the position of Mayor and 2 four-year seats on the City Council were being voted upon; and, WHEREAS, the City Administrator has hereby certified to the Council the following results of the municipal election voting: PositionlName Precinct 1 Precinct 2 Precinct 3 Precinct 4 Total Mayor Anthony Pena 385 274 537 640 1,836 Jerry Ristow 949 848 794 892 3,483 Councilmember Ben Barker 494 384 571 687 2,136 Lacelle Cordes 773 648 598 606 2,625 Steve Strachan 821 695 748 909 3,173 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the results of the municipal election are hereby accepted and that Gerald Ristow be declared the winner of the contest for mayor; Steve Strachan and Lacelle Cordes be declared the winners in the contest for councilmembers.
