INTRODUCTION
The city has been contacted by a local realtor about our interest in two properties located downtown.
DISCUSSION
The city has been contacted about any interest we may have on two properties located downtown. The
properties are located off of Second Street between Farmington City Hall and Elm Street. These properties
are not being used currently and were previously used as a part of a used vehicle sales business that recently
located within the city.
A map of the properties is attached for your review. Property one is being listed for$50,000 and property
two is being listed for$150,000.

Discuss any potential use or interest the city may have in these properties and direct city staff as appropriate.

INTRODUCTION
As you are aware, Sergeant Gary Rutherford has been serving as the acting police chief since late August
2018. Around that same time, we decided to wait until 2019 to make any decisions on how to move forward
on the police chief position.
I will share my thoughts and the work I have been performing in relation to this issue at the work session.
This will also provide the city council an opportunity to weigh in on how to move forward on this issue.

INTRODUCTION
The 2019 city council goal setting has been scheduled for Friday, February 8, 2019.
DISCUSSION
The 2019 city council goal setting is scheduled for Friday, February 8, 2019. I wanted to provide the city
council an opportunity to share your thoughts on the approach to the meeting in terms of attendees,
discussion items, agenda, etc.
We have used different approaches in the past. Determining how you want to organize the meeting will
hopefully make it a more productive session.
