MEMO TO: TOM KALDUNSKI SUBJECT: SIDEWALK BREAKING PERMIT DATE: JUNE 28, 1990 Per our discussion this morning regarding permits for sidewalk cutting, I refer you to Title 8-1-4 which states in part. ."No person shall break into or cause an opening to be made in a curb or the surface of any street unless a permit is re- ceived by the City." Therefore, if you wish to inforce requiring a permit for sidewalk cutting, repairs, etc. , I would recommend the following language: "No person shall break into, cause an opening, or repair to be made in a curb, the surface of any street, sidewalk, bike trail, or driveway within the street right of way unless a permit is received by the City." I will place this item on the July 2, 1990 agenda for Council approval. ;7-7/ 7z-i7 y L-Thom son"- - City Administrator cc: Mayor and Council Karen Finstuen file
