The estimated impact on the City's annual levy would be an increase from $2,484.00 to $13,398.00. The reason for the substantial increase is because benefit increases are retroactive to the start of the fire fighting employment as per Statutory requirement. Below is a sampling of the contributions for surrounding communities: CITY CONTRIBUTION LAKEVILLE 1,200 PRIOR LAKE 900 ROSEMOUNT 1,000 HASTINGS 1,400 RED WING 600 NEW PRAGUE 500 Representatives from the Fire Relief Association will be present at the meeting to discuss the matter.
