SUBJECT: RECOGNITION OF SERVICE
DATE: DECEMBER 30, 1992
Upon completion of Councilmember and Boardmember terms, many times the Council
has requested a tree be planted or a plaque be presented in recognition of the
individual's service to the City. I felt I should point out at this time that
a policy has never been adopted and that in the past we have reacted only to requests
by the City Council.
No action needs to be taken at this time if you so choose, only a recognition
of this established practice.

With the start of 1993,the city will see two individuals stepping out of the public Comm
after many,inaily yogis of dedication and loyalty. These individuals are Donavan Mayer
(8 years o the City Connell,Planning Convnission,EDC,and currently on HRA)and
Card Sprute(10 Years on ilia, including 4-5 ar Chairperson and EDefor many ram
including Chair). °Weis maybe stepping down as well,but at this time its unclear.

I feel that it is important to recognize the individuals that have given countleaa*atm to*e
city,with generally We notice,(accept bad),giving their best efforts to guide the city in
the challenging time,s.
This could be conducted at either the Co January 18th or February 1st meeting.
