HomeMy WebLinkAbout04-27-1970 9 April 27, 1970 Meeting called to order by the President Robert Schneider, with the following members being present. Mr. Brinkman; Mr. Henneberry; and the secretary Moser. Minutes of the last meeting were rdad and approved. Mr. Donald Thelen was present as a interested citizen only. Motion made by Brinkman and seconded by Schneider to pay the current bills including South Park Corp. in the amount of $1710.00, and to Waterous for 3 hydrants at $265.00 each. Quotes from Project #70-2, were opened and it was awarded to the lowest quotation, that being J.P. Sauber Co. in the amount of $2280.00 for 6 long and 6 short services to be replaced on Main street be#eeen 3rd and 4th St. Motion made by Brinkman and seconded by Schneider that said quotation be accepted as final. After a discussion of having the tapping machine available fa various plumbers to use, a motion was made by Schneider and seconded by Brinkman that the tapping machine be kept in well house no. 1 and will be signed out and in by the plumber that desires the use of it. The Secretary notified the Board that they had a violation in regard to a meter installation. The infraction was noticed by the inpsector and the owner has been notified, if nothing is done within 30 days it will be turned over to the city attorneyfor citiation of ordance ploicy . Motion was made by Brinkman and seconded by Sehnider. The Board instructed the Secretary to obtain some data on the type of machine that the State Department of Hea&th was going to suggest for the testing of flouride in the city system. He is to report back at the nest meeting. Respectfully submitted.
