Meeting called to order by Mr. Schneider the Presdietnt, the following members
being present: Mr. Brinkmn; Shirley; Henneberry; and Glen Moser; Also present
were Mr. Eugene and Marvin Kuchera.
Motion was made by Schneider and ser::onded by Shirley that the minutes from the
previous meeting be approved as read.
Mr. Eugene Kuchera stated that they were present because of a notification of the
infraction of the ordinance at their property on 3rd St. in regard to the install—
ation of a Neptune meter rather than the Badger meter which is the policy of the
Water Board. After a discussion was ensued it was decided to report back to the
Council in regard to a variance of the ordance in regard to a change of the brand
of the meter used. They would be notified the nite the Board is to appear 6efpre
the council.
Motion was made by Shirley seconded by Brinkman to pay Cannon Falls Plumbing and
Heating upon completion and inspection of the work by the Water Superintendent.
Motion made by Brinkman and seconded by Shirley that the Board allow the bill for
$30.00 payable to the Village for Engineering Consultation.
Motion made by Brinkman seconded by Shirley that the Water Department establish
a tapping fee of $30.00 payable whenever a tap is to be made on a main. The
Board to make a contract for 12 months with a plumber to run and maintain the
Boards machine. The contractor or plumber to give the Mater Board 24 hours
notice bdfore the work is needed.
Wqter main on Maple between 3rd and 4th was nottbd druing tapping to be badly
pitted. It was brought to the Boards attention by the Water Dep't Superintendent.
Village council is to be notified of future replacement of this main.
It was reported that a padlock is missing on the Water Tower tank and the Water
Dep 't Supertindent is to instruct someone to replace it.
Secretarys report on flouride was not complete at this time, further testing and
checking to be done.
