Meeting called to order by the President Mr. Schneider, minutes of the
precious meeting were read and approved. Motion made by Brinkman and seconded
by Shit4ey. The following members being Present Shirley; Brinkman and the
Secretary.
Secretary reported to the Water Board of the infraction of the ordinance
pertaining to Page 285 paragraph 6 of ordinance #173. There being two
meters in the village being used that were not in accordance. Number one
being in the Kuchera building on the corner of 3rd and Elm. And also the
meter in the Research Building of Frederick-Willys Co.
The yearly statment from the Watertower and Paintand Repair Co. was
presented and a motion was made by Brinkman and seconded by Shirley that
this bill be allowed in the amount of $368.00, as per the contract. The
Secretary also informed the Board that this appears to be the last year on
the contract with this company, and it will have to be renewed in the near
future/
A bill to Davies Water Equipment Co; for a Metro-Tech locater in the amount
of $178.10 was presented. Amotion was made by Shirley and seconded by
Brinkman that this bill be allowed. Theinstnnment however should be kept
in the custody of the Secreatry.
Discussion was ensued in regard to the stub-outs being put in where needed.
The Secretary inform4d the Board that he has repeatedly asked the City
Engineer to drew up the "Specs" , but with no results. . The Board decided
to start the stub-ins without the quotes, as the project is under the amount
required by law. A motion was made by Schneider and sedonded by Brinkman
that the Water Board employ Sauber Plumbing and Heating on a time and materia:
basis. The Water Board to hire two men on an hourley basis for contracted
services. The rate of pay being 2.75 per hour, an ad is to be run in the
Dakota County Tribune. The Secretary to select the personal.
A motion was made by Brihkman and seconded by Shirley to increase the C.D.
#11517 from the present $7,000.00 to $8,000.00 wheth is due on August 7th.
