HomeMy WebLinkAbout11-16-1970 19 WATER BOARD VILLAGE OF FARMINGTON November 16, 1970 Meeting called to order by the President Mr. Robert Schneider, with the followijg members being present; Mr. Chester Brinkman, and Mr. Robert Shirley. Also the Secretary Glen E. Moser and Mr. F.J. Henneberry were present. Minutes of the Previous meeting were read and approved, motion was made Shirley and seconded by Brinkman. The Board requested the Secretary to renew the Certificate of Deposit in the First National Bank of Farmington, comming due the last of Nov. if the checking account was above the $4,000.00 amount. The Board also submitted in writing several policies that have been in forceefor many years but have never been entered in the minutes as a part of the record. "Customers desire to increase the size of his existing service: The Board will not replace any operatteble service. The customer should first attempt to clean the it lines. If the line is broken and customer wants to increase the size of his service, he must pay the difference between the cost of the present size and the cost of the desired increase. The Board claims responsibility only from the main to the curb-box." The Water Board also has had a policy for a number of years that requires all meters that are installed on the water lines must be of a certain make or manufacture and that being a Badger Meter that measures in U.S. gallons (cold water). The Board will purchase the meter for the customer it he so desires, but will charge a 10% handling cost over the cost of the meter." "Any stub-in service charges, can be paid with 6 equal payments to be paid in full with-in the 6 months period of time, with an interest rate of 8% per annum. This payment policy does not apply to new construction of any type; " A bill of $2904.06 from Sauber Plumbing and Heating was presented and a motion was made that the above be paid, motion made by Brinkman and seconded by Shirley. Also a bill from the Fadden Pump Company in the amount of $199.50 for a new pump on the Chlorinator at Well No. 3 be ordered paid, motion made by Shirley and seconded by Brinkman that the above bill be paid„ Motion made by Schneider that they adjourned, seconded by Brinkman. tfu ubmitted. /// 4r , A7Aggiii Glen E.
