HomeMy WebLinkAbout03-15-1971 a I March 15, 1971 Meeting called to order by Robert Schndieder, Water Board President. The following membees being present; Chester Brinkman, Robert Shirley, and F. J. Henneberry and Gitlin Moser. Also present was Jack Sauber and Tom Jensen, at the invitation of the Water Board, to represent lithe Sauber Plumbing and Heating. The Water Board asked the Secretary to remind the Village Administrator that he is III not authorized to okay the invoices for the Water Department, and to please refrain from doing so, as has been done in the past. A motion was made by Shirley to resind his previous motion of January 26th stating that the Water Board spend approximately $3,000.00 toward the purehase of a backhoe which was desired by the City Council, this motion was seconded by Brinkman, motion carried. The following bills were present and order paid: General Fund (reimbursement) $1102.40 Peoples Natural Gas 39.0 . Northern States Power 57.03 Hagen Hardware 14.36 Lynde Chemical Co. 7.60 Motion was made by Shirley to have the above listed bills paid, seconded by Brinkman, mthtion carred. The Secretary presented a bill from Bonhiver, Anfinson, Hendrickson and Company for the 1969 Audit in the amount of $65.00, which incidently had already been order paid by the Administrator and okayed for payment. The Secretary also presented a bill for the 1970 Audit in the amount of $400.00 payable to the same above named 111 firm. Both bills were denied for payment, includeing check no. 121 for the lack of sufficient information. The motion for detjial on the both amounts was made by Shirley and sedonded by Brinkman. Shirley made a !Mullion that the Water Board purchase a $5000.00 certificate of deposiit fir a 6months period Of time, and to add $3000.00 to the present CD which is in the amount of 45000.00, making it a $8000.00 CD due in 12 months, seconded by Brinkman. The Water Board asked Sauber Plumbing if they would keep their labor costs to a minimum, this being agreeable to everyone. - .r-ul of omitted 9 Secretary
