Meeting called to order by the President with the Bollowig present:
Brinkman, Shirley, Moser and Henneberry.
Motion was made by Brinkman, seconded by Shirley that the Board
purchase another $5000.00 "CD" for 3 months.
Secretary was requested to change the memo sent to Council and use
the form sent to Plumbers for contracts for the comming year.
Discussion was carried on the problems at the Pres. Church in regard
to the freezing of the seritice in the winter time. Motion was made by
Brinkman seconded by Shirley. the Sec. to correct the problem.
Motion made by Shirley that we acceptthe Sauber bid for the installation
of the 11 hydrants at the price of $265.00 per hydrant. .Cannon Falls was
the lowest bidder, but refused the contract when he learned it had to be
completed by August 15th, and his heavy work goad.
Bills from Layne-Minnesota in the amount of $2870.25: Sauber Plumbing
187.50; Coast to Coast 3.57, were presented by the Sectreary and a motion
was made by Brinkman and 2nd by Shirley that they be paid.
President Schneider brought before the Board the possibility of increasing
the water rateto start a fund for the building of a water tower. Motion
was made by Shirley to increase the rate to $8.00 per quarter. Making it
a total of 32.00 per year, with the rate of 25% of the total collections
to go to the tower fund, seconded by Brinkman.
Motion was made by Brinkman that an emergency fund be maintained at the
First National Bank with a minimum balathce of $20,000.00, this was 2nd
by Shirley.
