MINUTES
WATER BOARD
FEBRUARY 26, 1979
1 . The meeting was called to order by President Shirley at 7 : 30 P.M.
in the Council Chambers .
Present: President Shirley, members Mohlis , and Juenemann
Absent : None
Also present : Bill Hince, John Hawes, and Engineer Rosene
2 . Item 6 of the January 26, 1979 minutes should be corrected to read
"Any future claims against the Water Board will be processed by
the City' s Finance Director" . Motion by Shirley second by Mohlis
to approve the minutes as corrected. APIF, motion carried.
3 . Engineer, Rosene met with the Water Board and General Services
Superintendent, Hince to report on progress made in determining
the cause of rusty water. Rosene ruled out iron bacteria as an
agent. He also recommended that the water tank be drained and
flushed when weather permits. Further study will continue to
determine cause of rusty water.
4. Motion by Juenemann, second by Mohlis to authorize City Engineer
to prepare a new water distribution map. APIF, motion carried.
5 . Finance Director, Hawes met with the Water Board to explain the
new chart of accounts that will be used in the future.
6 . Motion by Juenemann, second by Shirley to pay all bills presented
111 to the Water Board with the exception of the Insurance bill for
$810 . 00 . The remainder of the bills totaled $4, 232 . 15 . APIF,
motion carried.
