WATER BOARD
REGULAR
OCTOBER 22, 1979
1. The meeting was called to order at 7 : 30 P.M. in the Administrator ' s
office.
Present : Shirley and Mohlis
Absent : Juenemann
2. Motion by Mohlis, second by Shirley to approve the minutes of the
regular meeting held on September 17, 1979. APIF, motion carried.
3. Motion by Shirley, second by Mohlis to approve the bills presented
and authorized payment of same in the amount of $5, 512 . 23; checks 1199
thru 1208. APIF, motion carried.
3. The Board discussed in general their responsibility pertaining
to water meters on private property. The matter was continued for
further discussion.
4. Mayor Akin was at the City Hall on other business and an informal
discussion on the water service in the City ensued between
the Mayor and members present .
5. The Board reviewed a projected operating schedule, cost and rate
study and cash flow analysis prepared by the City Administrator. The
information disclosed a need increase rates to meet rising costs.
6. Motion by Shirley , second by Mohlis that the water rate of $10. 00
per unit per quarter for non metered accounts be established effective
January 1, 1980 and that the annual 40% refund to certain users be
discontinued as of December 31 , 1979. APIF, motion carried. Note :
Secretary Juenemann was out of State and unable to attend the meeting,
it was agreed that President Shirley will meet with Mr. Juenemann
shortly to have his imput on this above decision. It was further
agreed by members present that if Secretary Juenemann wanted this matter
discussed further a special meeting could be called or put on the
agenda of the next regular meeting.
7. Motion made and seconded to adjourn.
