MINUTES
WATER BOARD
REGULAR
AUGUST 25, 1980
1. The meeting was called to order by President Shirley at 7 : 30
P.M.
Present : Juenemann, Mohlis, Shirley
Absent : None
2. Motion by Mohlis , second by Shirley to approve the minutes of
the July 28, 1980 meeting. APIF, motion carried.
3. Payments for bills received during the month were not prepared
in time for the August meeting. Shirley and Juenemann will meet
at a later date for review of the bills presented.
4. The Board learned that installation of the equipment purchased
from NALCO Chemical Company has not been completed yet . Shirley
will meet with the City Administrator to initiate action for com-
pletion of this job .
5. The Board discussed a suggestion from the City Council that
residents applying for a swimming pool building permit be assessed
a one time charge for water, with the proceeds going into the
water fund. The Board felt that it may be better to install meters
at pool installations, due to continued high useage at many locations
for maintenance of pool water levels .
6. The Board discussed a letter of inquiry from the City Adminis-
trator regarding projected water useage by year 2000. Shirley
will meet with the City Administrator for further discussion.
111 7. Motion by Shirley, second by Juenemann to authorize renewal
for one year of the three each $5, 000 certificates of deposit at
First National Bank which mature on August 29, 1980.
8. Motion made and seconded to adjourn.
