WATER BOARD
REGULAR
JUNE 22, 1981
1. The meeting was called to order at 7:30 P.M. by President Shirley
at City Hall .
Present: President Shirley, Members Bohm and Juenemann
Absent: None
2. Motion by Juenemann, second by Bohm to authorize payment of the
various bills presented to the Board totaling $2,102.29. APIF, motion
carried.
3. President Shirley reported that an isolated rusty water complaint was
received from a Pine Knolls Addition resident. The Board also noted
the general decrease in complaints and attributed it to the introduction
of the agent supplied by NALCO Chemical Co.
4. The Board decided to continue the in-line filter test for another
year at the six residential test locations. The Board authorized
General Services Superintendent Hince to order another year's
supply of filters.
5. The Board discussed the merits of having a Water Distribution Master
Plan, as proposed earlier by the City Engineer. No final conclusions
were reached.
6. The Board discussed flushing of the water system in general and of the
18 inch main in particular. In line with this, Shirley reported that
he reminded City Engineer Rosene of our interest in the installation of a
dump valve on the 18 inch main.
