WATER BOARD
REGULAR
JULY 29, 1981
1. The meeting was called to order by President Shirley at 7:15 P.M.
in City Hall .
Present: President Shirley, Members Bohm and Juenemann
Absent: None
2. The regular Water Board meeting scheduled for July 27, 1981 was
not held due to a lack of quorum.
3. Motion by Bohm, second by Shirley to approve the minutes of the
April , May, and June 1981 meetings. APIF, motion carried.
4. Motion by Shirley, second by Juenemann to authorize payment of
the various bills presented to the Board totaling $3,024.17. APIF,
motion carried.
5. The Board discussed the state of the ordinances relating to
water policy. It was agreed that all ordinances should be reviewed
for completeness and currency. The Board will recommend any changes
or additions to the Council upon completion of the reviewal process.
6. The Board expressed concern over the inactivity of wells No. 1 & 2.
It is likely that the Insurance Underwriters Association would not
consider these wells operational without a record of useage. The
latest Minnesota Health Department report also noted the inactivity
of these wells. The Board concurs with the American Water Works
Association recommendation that standby wells be exercised at least
once each month.
