WATER BOARD
REGULAR
JUNE 28, 1982
1. The regular Water Board meeting scheduled for May 24, 1982 was cancelled
III due to lack of quorum.
2. The meeting was called to order in City Hall at 7:30 P.M.
Present: President Shirley, Members Bohm and Juenemann
Absent: None
3. Motion by Juenemann, second by Bohm to authorize payment of the various
bills presented to the Board totaling $5,266.72. APIF, motion carried.
4. The Board recieved a note from the City Administrator stating that
City Engineer Rosene wants to meet with the Water Board. A decision
whether to meet with Rosene will be made based on a discussion between
President Shirley and the City Administrator.
5. The Board discussed the inactivity of Wells #1 and #2 at length, and
the means by which their usefulness can be restored. The Board recommends
that Wells #1 and #2 be operated no less than once each month. As as
interim measure, the output of Wells #1 and #2 should be valved off from
the distribution system and the output discharged through a hydrant during
the periodic running of these wells. Chlorine and flouride injection equip-
ment will have to be restored in order to permit flow from these wells to
be introduced into the distribution system. Motion by Shirley, second by
Bohm to reinstate Wells #1 and #2 to the distribution system. APIF, motion
carried.
III 6. The Board discussed the beautification of Well House #3 which includes
painting, landscaping and fence installation. President Shirley will
authorize Switzer Nursery to prepare a landscaping estimate as the initial
step in this project.
7. The Board took note that the transference of receipts from water sales to
the water fund account is lagging considerably. Member Juenemann will
contact Deputy Treasurer Henneke regarding this item.
