WATER BOARD
REGULAR
JULY 26 , 1982
1. The meeting was called to order at 7 : 30 P .M. in City Hall.
Present : Members Bohm & Juenemann
Absent : President Shirley
Also Present : City Engineer Rosene
2. Engineer Rosene met with the Board to discuss present and
potential future needs pertaining to the Farmington Water
System. He stressed the need for a Master Water Plan to
provide for an orderly growth of the distribution system as
the City expands . Rosene also recommended that metering be
considered as a means to discourage waste and to provide a
more fair billing system. He suggested that this program
could begin by requiring installation of meter yokes in
all new construction, and adding meters in those and other
areas when practical. A brief discussion then took place
regarding the restoration of Wells #1 and #2. Rosene departed
at this point.
3 . Motion by Juenemann, second by Bohm to authorize Board
member Bohm to sign water fund checks in the absence of
either the President or Secretary. APIF, motion carried.
4. The Board was advised that Mr. Tooker will design the
landscaping for Well House #3 and General Services will do
the planting in the fall.
5 . No bills were presented to the Board this month.
