WATER BOARD
REGULAR
AUGUST 23 , 1982
1. The meeting was called to order by President Shirley at.
7 : 30 P.M. in City Hall .
Present : President Shirley, Member Juenemann
Absent : Member Bohm
2. Motion by Juenemann, second by Shirley to authorize payment
of the various bills presented to the Board totaling $4 , 906 .82.
APIF, motion carried.
3 . The Board departed City Hall briefly to inspect Well House
No . 1 . Upon return to City Hall , a Motion by Juenemann, second
by Shirley was passed to have Well Houses 1 & 3 repainted, with
Well House No . 1 painted brown to match the adjacent City build-
ings and Well House No . 3 painted to match the pump house at the
municipal pool . APIF, motion carried.
4 . The Board discussed looking into the feasibility of installing
bulk master storage tanks for chlorine at Well Houses 2 & 3 .
This plan would obviate the need for a separate chlorine storage
building at Well House No . 2, as listed on the most recent
Minnesota Department of Health inspection report , plus allowing
chlorine to be purchased in bulk quantities at a lower price.
5. Motion by Shirley, second by Juenemann to purchase a six month
money-market certificate at First National Bank in the amount
of $10, 000. APIF, motion carried.
6. Motion by Juenemann, second by Shirley to renew money market
certificate #5905 at First National Bank and money market cert-
ificate 057003171 at First National Savings & Loan. APIF,
motion carried.
