HomeMy WebLinkAbout06-25-1984 195 MINUTES WATER BOARD REGULAR JUNE 25, 1984 1. The meeting was called to order by President Shirley at 7:30 P.M. in City Hall . Present: Shirley, Juenemann Absent: Bohm 2. The May Water Board meeting was not held due to the Memorial Day Holiday. 3. Bills were reviewed for the months of May and June. Motion by Juenemann, second by Shirley to approve payment of all bills presented for both May and June 1984, totalling $6,470.68 with the exception of the $64.77 bill from Farmington Plumbing. APIF, motion carried. The Board elected to withhold payment to Farmington Plumbing until repairs are effected to their filter installation. 4. Water service to Northern Natural Gas facility was discussed with the Fire Department. It is our joint recommendation that water service be provided by installation of a 12" diameter main along the north side of Highway 50. 5. Juenemann reported that certificate #6754 was renewed for another six months at a new value of $45,473.84. 6. The Board took note that transfers of water sales to the water fund account have not generally been occuring since the start of the year. It is estimated that in excess of $40,000 is in arrears. 7. The Board discussed the City Financial Director's recommendation that the water fund checking account be combined into a general City checking account. No action was taken at this time. 8. President Shirley reported that the City engineer is not responding to our request for specifications regarding landscaping of Well #4. It was the consensus of the Board that a meeting be set up with General Services and a local landscaper in order to proceed with this project. Respectfully submitted, Robert Juenemann Secretary RJ/mh
