WATER BOARD
REGULAR
SEPTEMBER 25, 1984
1. The meeting was deferred from September 24, 1984 due to a lack
of a quorum on that date.
2. The meeting was called to order by President Shirley at 7:30 P.M.
in City Hall .
Present: Shirley, Bohm, Juenemann.
Absent: None.
3. The Board reviewed the financial summary and noted that a portion
of the monies for water service were transferred to the Water account,
although a substantial portion still remains to be transferred.
4. Motion by Juenemann, second by Bohm to pay all bills, totalling $12,318.75.
APIF, motion carried. The above figure included a check in the amount of
$9,645.00 to the City of Farmington as a loan, previously approved, for the
purpose of buying a computer.
5. Motion by Shirley, second by Juenemann to invest $20,000.00 in a one year
certificate. APIF, motion carried.
6. The Board authorized President Shirley to obtain installation of a
security device on the water tower access road. The Board expressed interest
in having the new device installed farther west, near the tree line, than
the original security device in order to lessen the probability of damage
by farm machinery.
7. Landscaping of Wellhouse No. 3 was discussed. President Shirley will
look into obtaining the service of either DCAVTI or the University of Minnesota
for this project.
8. The Board discussed water rates and tabeled this item until the next
meeting.
