Absent: None 2. The Board reviewed the monthly financial statement along with the current bills. Motion by Juenemann, second by Bohm to approve payment of all bills presented totaling $1,989.88. APIF, motion carried. 3. The Board was asked to review its policy of requiring the exclusive use of Badger meters within the City. The Board was further advised that Badger meters are not immediately available from the vendor and that it can take up to thirty days for delivery. There apparently have been instances when a thirty day wait for a meter installation would not be prudent. The Board is still interested in staying with the Badger meter and recommends that spare meters of the most commonly used sizes be kept on hand. The Board, however, recognizes that occasionally it may be useful to deviate from this policy and install a sub- stitute type meter. Motion by Shirley, second by Juenemann to designate the Rockwell meter as an acceptable substitute. APIF, motion carried. 4. The City Administrator, in a letter to the Board dated November 26, 1984 requested that a number of water meter yokes be purchased as a result of a recent City ordinance requiring the installation of a water yoke with all new construction. The cost of the yokes will be added to the permit fee and will be reimbursed to the Water Fund. Motion by Shirley, second by Bohm to purchase 100 yokes. APIF, motion carried. 5. The City Administrator also expressed concern over the graffiti on the water tank. Gerry Bauer of General Services joined in the discussion with the Board briefly on this topic. It was the consensus of the Board that a lasting correction of this problem will require warm weather and that the tank be drained. However, the Board will attempt some temporary action on the more objectionable graffiti . 6. The Board reviewed a letter from Scott Cox complaining of low water pressure. General Services investigated and found no problem. President Shirley will respond in writing to this letter. The Board was also advised of a smelly water complaint from the Bolstrum residence. 7. The Board discussed the possibility of acquiring the Stegmaier irrigation well if the property ever becomes available. Respectfully submitted, Robert G. Juenemann Secretary RGJ/mh
