MINUTES
WATER BOARD
REGULAR
DECEMBER 26, 1984
1. The meeting was called to order by President Shirley at 7:30 P.M.
in City Hall . This meeting was postponed from December 24, 1984 due
to the Christmas Holiday.
Present: Shirley, Juenemann
Absent: Bohm.
2. President Shirley advised the Board that General Services Superintendent
Hince recommends that we consider designating the Rockwell meter to be the
primary used meter due to it's lower cost and better availability. The
Board deferred decision until all members are present.
3. President Shirley announced that he had met with General Services
Superintendent Hince regarding a temporary fix to the graffiti on the
water tank. However, no action was attempted since it is not possible to
make any agent adhere to the tank during the cold weather. Plans were
made to paint the lower portion of the tank early next summer in conjunction
with the tank interior cleaning and resurfacing. The Board also discussed
the feasibility of having the name "Farmington" painted on the tank.
4. The minutes from the November 1984 were reviewed. Motion by Shirley,
second by Juenemann to approve the minutes as read. APIF, motion carried.
5. Motion by Juenemann, second by Shirley to approve payment of all bills
presented to the Board totalling $22,613.51. Of particular note was a bill
in the amount of $19,121.09 to the City of Farmington for custom service
provided by the General Services Department. APIF, motion carried.
6. The Board reviewed the monthly Water Fund Operating Summary. An error
was noted in the stated amount of the Fund Balance. The Board also took
note that fund transfers to the Water Account were estimated to be deficient
by about $15,000 for calendar year 1984.
Respectfully submitted,
Robert G. Juenemann
