Present: Shirley, Juenemann. Absent: Bohm. Also Present: City Administrator Thompson, Acting General Services Superintendent Bauer. 2. A discussion was held summarizing the proposal to merge the Water Fund operating monies with the City's, coincident with changing to a new com- puterized accounting system. A consensus reached allowed the Water Board to retain approval authority for any expenditures and to retain custody of all Water Fund investments. Motion by Juenemann, second by Shirley to merge the Water Fund checking account with the City's account. APIF, motion carried. In a related matter, Administrator Thompson agreed to pursue obtaining bonding coverage for all Water Board members. 3. Discussion was held on the feasibility of connecting the Lakeville and Farmington water systems for emergency purposes. The Board decided to study this proposal further after cost estimates are obtained. 4. The Board was advised that the former Stegmaier irrigation well is not a deep well and consequently would not be suitable for adding to the City's system. 5. Discussion was held on adding a water pressure alarm to the existing City's alarm system. Concurrently, the pressure control to energize well #3 will be moved from Wellhouse #1 to Wellhouse #2. These actions will allow the deactivation of Wellhouse #1 if a valve would be installed in the main line leaving the wellhouse. Mr. Bauer will obtain estimates for a valve installation. 6. Landscaping of Wellhouse #3 was discussed, including rerouting of the tower road around the south side of the wellhouse as well as the possibility of using some of the wellhouse plot for a City tree farm. Mr. Bauer will obtain cost estimates for the landscaping in addition to estimates for installing a chain link fence around the water tank in an effort to prevent further vandalism. Respectfully submitted, Robert G. Juenemann Secretary
