MINUTES
WATER BOARD
REGULAR
DECEMBER 30, 1985
1. This meeting was rescheduled to December 30 because of a lack of a
quorum on the regularly scheduled date of December 23, 1985.
2. The meeting was called to order by President Shirley at 7:30 P.M. at
City Hall.
Present: Shirley, Bohm, Juenemann
Absent: None
3. A general discussion on the Water Fund's finances was held with the
Board taking note that neither the total income or the total expenses for
the current year have been posted to the Water Fund financial statement.
A note from the Finance Department, however, stated that a new computerized
statement will be available to the Board next month.
4. Bills totalling $1,867.43 for the past month were reviewed. Motion by
Juenemann, second by Bohm to authorize payment of all bills presented to
the Board. APIF, motion carried.
5. The Board discussed reimposing a partial sprinkling ban next summer in
the same manner as the ban imposed during this past year. Motion by Juenemann,
second by Shirley to impose a sprinkling ban from June 1, 1986 to September 30,
1986 during the hours from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. APIF, motion carried.
Notice of the sprinkling ban will be included with the spring mailing of the
utility bills.
6. A brief discussion was held regarding the status of a number of uncompleted
projects. Among them are:
a. Painting and refurbishing the water tank.
b. Finish landscaping wellhouse #3.
c. Hydrant installation on 8th Street.
d. Extension of a water main on Highway 50 west of Pilot Knob Road.
The Board plans to invite City Engineer Kaldunski and Jerry Bauer from
General Services to the next meeting in order to discuss these items in depth.
