MINUTES
WATER BOARD
SPECIAL
MARCH 30, 1988
1. The meeting was called to order by President Shirley at 7:00 P.M. in
City Hall.
Present: Shirley, Sauber, Juenemann.
Absent: None.
Also Present: City Engineer Kaldunski, Glenn Cook, Dan Edgerton of Bonestroo, 111
Rosene, Anderlik and Associates.
2. It was noted that this meeting marked the first appearance of newly
appointed member, Jack Sauber.
3. Engineers Cook and Edgerton briefed the Board on the status of the Com-
prehensive Water Plan that their firm is preparing. They pointed out several
selected sites that would be satisfactory as additional water storage locations.
Estimates of increased storage capacity, (several million gallons) as well as
pumpage requirements (12-14 wells) were given to accommodate population growth
over the next sixty years or so. A preliminary water distribution grid was
presented to the Board showing the layout and sizing of the mains to be
incorporated as the City expands.
4. The consensus of the Board was that the Comprehensive plan was developing
satisfactorily, and that it should be completed and presented in final form
at the next regular meeting of the Water Board, which was rescheduled to occur
on the last Tuesday of April at 7:30 P.M. The engineers departed the meeting
at this point.
5. The Board spent a few minutes familiarizing new member Sauber with the
current projects and finances of the Board.
Respectfully submitted,
Robert Juenemann
