WATER BOARD
REGULAR
AUGUST 16, 1988
1. The meeting was called to order by Jack Sauber at 7:30 P.M. in City Hall.
Present: Juenemann, Sauber.
Absent: Shirley.
2. The financial report was reviewed along with the monthly accumulation of
bills. MOTION by Juenemann, second by Sauber to authorize payment of all bills
presented, totalling $7,890.37. APIF, motion carried.
3. The Board discussed the proposed refurbishment of Well No. 1, and recommends
that a quotation be obtained from another well company including the proposed
TV inspection of the well.
4. The Board reviewed the summary of charges for bulk water sales prepared by
the City Finance Director of information obtained from other Dakota County cities.
Based on the information supplied, the Board decided to increase charges for
bulk water to be more consistent with the increased rates recently imposed on
City residential and commercial users. MOTION by Sauber, second by Juenemann to
impose a charge of $1.50 per thousand for all bulk water sales, with a $10.00
minimum. In addition, a deposit of $20.00 will be obtained whenever a hydrant
wrench is loaned, with the deposit to be refunded upon return of the wrench.
