WATER BOARD
REGULAR
JUNE 20, 1989
1. The June, 1989 meeting was opened by President Shirley at 7:30 P.M. in
City Hall.
Members Present: Juenemann, Shirley.
Members Absent: Sauber.
The May, 1989 meeting was not held due to insufficiency of quorum present.
2. The Board reviewed the financial report as well as the monthly bills. MOTION
by Juenemann, second by Shirley to authorize payment of all bills presented,
totalling $6,024. 10. APIF, MOTION CARRIED.
3. President Shirley reported that the City Engineer requested that the Board
discuss the presence of private irrigation wells within the City while considering
potential conflict with enforcement of the current watering ban. The Board was
not aware of any problem in this regard, and elected to withhold any recommendation
at this time.
4. Well No. 1 renovation project was reviewed and the Board was disappointed that
the well was not refurbished in time to bring it on line during the summer months.
The Board was informed that the current pumping rate approaches 1.75 million gallons
on the heavier use days. The Board is hopeful that specifications can be approved
by the July 18, 1989 meeting.
5. President Shirley advised that School District 192 is discussing the feasibility
of installing their own irrigation well for servicing of the athletic fields.
