MINUTES
WATER BOARD
REGULAR
AUGUST 24, 1992
1. The meeting was called to order by Chair Shirley.
Members Present: Shirley, Sauber, Wier.
Members Absent: None.
Also Present: City Engineer Kaldunski.
2. MOTION by Shirley, second by Wier to approve the minutes of the July 27, 1992
regular meeting. APIF, MOTION CARRIED.
3. The Board did not feel that any survey questions were needed to be enclosed with
the next utility billing.
4. The Board determined by consensus that water meters will be paid for by any available
Water Board funds.
5. MOTION by Shirley, second by Sauber to establish a target date for completion
of water meter installation by October 1, 1993, with the first billing to be made
January 1, 1994. APIF, MOTION CARRIED.
6. MOTION by Shirley, second by Sauber to approve payment on Project 92-3 - repair
of water main at 180th Street and Pilot Knob Road. APIF, MOTION CARRIED.
7. MOTION by Shirley, second by Sauber to give a refund or credit for one year to
the Farm Bureau Insurance office at 429 Third Street since they have been billed for
two services for a period of time. This period of time follows other credits allowed
and is likely fair since both entrances have been open for use and may be in use.
APIF, MOTION CARRIED.
8. MOTION by Wier, second by Sauber to establish a policy to deal with possible inaccuracy
of water meters. The policy is to be included with the policy manual for the Water
Board. APIF, MOTION CARRIED.
9. City Engineer Kaldunski was directed to send letters concerning the feeling of
the Board to United States Senators and Representatives from Minnesota in regard to
testing of water.
10. MOTION by Shirley, second by Wier to pay the bills in the amount of $9,029.87.
APIF, MOTION CARRIED.
11. The Board agreed to adjourn.
