MINUTEST
COUNCIL MEETING
SPECIAL
June 18 , 1976
1. Meeting was called to order by the Mayor at 7 : 30 P.M.
Present : Mayor Daily, Councilmen Akin, Johnson, Kuchera
Absent : Councilman McElmury
Also Present : City Administrator Ford, Attorney Gorgos
2 . The purpose of the meeting was to convene the City Council as
the annual board of tax review.
3. The county assessor' s office was represented by 5 officials
who had with them the appropriate land and property records for
the City.
4. The mayor informed the audience consisting of some 50-60
people that questions and discussions would be restricted to the
specific detail of market values as appraised, changes in the
law thereto and related matters . He further informed the audience
that questions or discussions concerning the municipal budget ,
levy, mill rate and taxes would be handled at another time.
5. General questions were than taken by the council and the
assessors after which individual problems were dealt with in an
informal manner until all persons had been accommodated.
6. Motion was made and seconded to adjourn at 9 : 30 P.M.
