COUNCIL MEETING
SPECIAL
SEPTEMBER 9, 1976
1. The meeting was called to order by the Mayor at 5:15 P.M.
Present: Mayor Daily, Councilmen Akin, Johnson, Kuchera, McElmury
Also Present: Administrator Ford
2. The purpose of this meeting, which had been set at the regular meeting of
September 7, 1976, was to discuss in a preliminary way the first stages of the
1977 budget consisting of fringe benefits and salaries.
3. The council utilized the entire meeting in a discussion of fringe benefits
and more specifically those requests of Department Heads, the verbatun memo from
a meeting held with all employees of the City, and the Administrators recommendation.
4. At the conclusion of this meeting there appeared to be a certain amount of agreement
on specific items. The Administrator was requested to set forth the items and the
degree of agreement to inform the department heads that tentative decisions or
leans were in the process but to emphasize to the department heads that no firm
decisions had been made nor would it be made until the council had an opportunity
to meet with the department head.
5. Points of agreement were as follows:
1. A lump sun $50.00 per month, city contribution toward hospitatlization.
2. No change in mileage reimbursement of 12� per mile.
3. No change in funeral leave.
4. No change in vacation benefits.
S. Provide uniforms for General Services and Park personnel.
6. The council then set a special meeting for 5:15 P.M. , September 14, 1976, which
would be devoted primarily to budget matters.
7. Motion by Johnson, second by Kuchera to adopt Resolution #R74-76 authorizing
the-City Administrator to destroy certain accumulated excess, unusable records.
APIF, motion carried.
8. Motion made and carried to adjourn at 7:45 P.M.
