MINUTES
COUNCIL MEETING
SPECIAL
SEPTEMBER 12, 1977
1. The meeting was called to order by the Acting Mayor at 6:00 P.M.
Present: Acting Mayor Kuchera, Councilmen Johnson, McElmury, Whittier
Absent: Mayor Akin
Also Present: Administrator Ford
2. Motion by McElmury, second by Whittier to adopt Resolution #R56-77 entitled
Cert-1T cation to HUD of Availability of Local Funds Re 1977 C BG Grant. APIF,
Motion carried.
3. Motion by Johnson, second by McElmury to approve the attendance of Police
ChieTMetcalf at a State Chief quarterly Convention at Laverne, Minnesota. APIF,
motion carried.
4. Motion by McElmury, second by Whittier to adopt Resolution #R57-77 providing
for corrective design to the municipal sewer to.serve Dakota Electric Assoc.
APIF, motion carried.
5. Motion by McElmury, second by Whittier to adopt Resolution #R58-77, Method
of paying the cost of sewer design change provided under project 77-1. APIF,
motion carried.
6. Mr. Arleigh Thorberg, representing Dakota Electric Assoc. , visited with the
council very briefly to discuss the solution that had been worked out in regard
to the sewer for Dakota Electric Assoc.
7. The council then reviewed in a general way the 1978 budget and gave general
direction to the Administrator in these matters. The council then set a special
meeting for 6:00 P.M. , Thursday, September 15, 1977 for consideration of the
budget and to meet with department heads.
8. Motion made and seconded to adjourn at 8:30 P.M.
