ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COMMISSION
REGULAR
OCTOBER 11, 1990
1. Meeting called to order at 7:00 P.M. by Chairperson Riste.
Members Present: Riste, Meyer, Ruberto, Galler
Members Absent: Sprute
Also Present: Director Henricks, Allan Judd, Dan Rogness, Todd Anderson,
Paul Hager, Fred Ohles
2. Allan Judd reviewed the Blandin Community Leadership program schedule and process
for the group. Members and guests were asked to break into groups representing
their respective communities. Having completed this, each group was to determine
all possible media forms available in their community for distribution of information
for the Blandin program. The next requirement was determining names of individuals
to invite in addition to the general public to the November 20, 1990 public
presentation of the Blandin program. The Farmington steering committee composed
of EDC members listed 76 individuals and groups to be invited to the public
meeting. Discussion pertaining to details of the Blandin program followed.
Dates were set up for future meetings.
3. MOTION by Riste second by Ruberto to approve minutes of the September 13, 1990
meeting with the exception that the Director's salary be reviewed at the November
meeting as a separate item from the budget. APIF, MOTION CARRIED.
4. The EDC reviewed the subject of the regular meeting time which is presently the
second Thursday of the month at 7:00 P.M. Director Henricks commented that
Commissioner Sprute wanted the meeting time to remain at 7:00 P.M. on the
second Thursday of the month. After discussion the following motion was acted
upon. MOTION by Ruberto second by Meyer establishing a new regular meeting time
for 4:00 P.M. on the second Thursday of the month. APIF, MOTION CARRIED.
The next regular meeting for the EDC will be November 8, 1990 at 4:00 P.M.
5. MOTION by Meyer second by Ruberto to adjourn meeting at 9: 19 P.M. "IF, MOTION
CARRIED.
