A. Review Tours of Steeple Center and FiftyNorth
RRAB members were surprised there is no city of Rosemount requirement for membership. They felt the
building was very nice and understand how parking across Hwy. 3 can be an issue. Overall, it was very
nice and comfortable.
RRCAB members thought it was interesting how when couches were added to the entrance at FiftyNorth
the number of people that sat there to visit. They liked the front desk facing the door and patio outside.
They did not like the long hallways as it gave it a hospital feel. The cost of membership was a lot.
Director Omlid will look at the second phase plan for the RRC and gather more information on a patio
here.
B. Rambling River Center’s 40th Anniversary Celebration
Page secured a donation of a magnolia tree from Landscaper MN Nice. Still working on theme ideas and
menu to be finalized next month.
C. Update on Fundraising Events
The total of profit from fundraising/donations after expenses and the purchase of a treadmill is
$23,406.67. The Farmington community and Rambling River Center members have been very generous
in 2021.
Metro Dining Club cards are finally here.
D. 2021 Membership Survey
Only 13 people responded. We will offer some of the programs/activities mentioned, but not change
hours based on the small sample size.
E. 2022 Work Plan Ideas

• Master Plan for the Building
• Fundraising Events

F. Review of 2021 Work Plan
Goals 1, 3, 4, 6, 7, and 9 have been completed. Progress continues to be made on Goals 2, 5, and 8.
7. Staff Report
Informational Updates
• Director Omlid gave a 2022 budget update.
• Recreation Supervisor Kohlbeck reminded RRAB members of the Dun Ditties Dulcimer concert
later today.
• Director Omlid explained we are too late into fall for any more to be done on the ramp this
season, but it is still being discussed for spring. Also, the handrail will be replaced now that the
sidewalks are done.
8. Advisory Roundtable
Page – Did a challenge sheet that was really fun. It’s an out of the box idea to get participation. Maybe
offer a prize. Staff stated that one is already in the works for the holidays and agreed it’s a good idea.
Moes – Nothing
Schumann – Tries to head off member complaints and has heard that members are somewhat
displeased with the stripping of the parking lot, concerned re: number spaces. Staff verified it is the
same number of spaces and bread delivery will go back to kitchenette when stripping is complete.
Reichert – Front steps need the handrails at very least, thanks for putting back.
Hennen– Nothing
Koski– Steps are unsafe without railing will be glad when reinstalled.
9. Agenda Items for November 8 meeting
• 2021 work plan progress
• 2022 work plan ideas
• 40th Anniversary Celebration
• Capital Project and Capital Improvement Fund Review
