Call to Order: Chair Joan Moes called meeting to order at 9:32 a.m. Members Present: Joan Moes, Blanch Reichert, Pat Hennen, Ken Schumann, and Gina Smith Members absent: Marjorie Koski and Pennie Page Others Present: Parks and Recreation Director Kellee Omlid, Recreation Supervisor Missie Kohlbeck 2. Approve Agenda Motion made by Schumann to approve the meeting agenda, seconded by Smith, APIF. Motion carried. 3. Approve Minutes Motion made by Reichert to approve October 11, 2021 meeting minutes and seconded by Smith, APIF. Motion carried. 4. Presentations None 5. Business Items None 6. Discussion Items A. Rambling River Center’s 40th Anniversary Celebration Reichert reviewed the proposal for food from Von Hanson’s and schedule. Motion by Schumann to use Von Hanson’s for a classic hog roast. Seconded by Reichert, APIF. Kohlbeck will call and finalized date today. B. Capital Projects and Capital Improvement Fund Items on the capital project plan listed for years 2022-2023 include the master planning for building improvements at the Rambling River Center, new round tables, hallway tiles, and computers. The current balance of the Capital Improvement Fund is $44,924.61. Discussion re: using some of these funds for the master planning and to make no other improvement until master planning was complete. C. Review Phase II of Rambling River Center Buildout The RRCAB briefly reviewed the 2008 study from Grand Projects, Inc. that was used when the building was being remodeled. A few of the items that were cut due to funding are still of interest today. They include patio access to the green space on the west side of the building, mall gates, and hard-wired audio equipment. Discussion to inquire about their feasibility when master planning is done. D. Review of 2021 Work Plan Work plan is almost completed. Progress continues to be made on Goals 2, 5, and 8. E. 2022 Work Plan Ideas Members suggested the following ideas: • Master Plan for the Building • Fundraising Events • Strategic Plan to Increase Membership • Volunteer Drivers List • 40th Anniversary Celebration • Interaction with the Parks and Recreation Commission and City Council 7. Staff Report Informational Updates • Halloween Walk had over 1,300 participants, raised approximately $400 for the food shelf, and collected 576 pounds of food. • Recreation Supervisor Kohlbeck gave an update on upcoming trips. • Director Omlid explained that work on the ramp is starting this week, but due to delays in fabrication the railings may not be done for 10 weeks. 8. Advisory Roundtable Smith – Nothing Moes – No decision on reapplying for the board. Schumann – Not reapplying for the board, life is very busy right now. Reichert – Would like to thank Gina for her help with Coffee Café on Friday morning. Hennen– Can we advertise with flyers, especially for the 40th Anniversary? 9. Agenda Items for December 13 meeting • 2021 work plan progress • 2022 work plan ideas • 40th Anniversary Celebration • Set up a task force for 2022 garage sale and steak fry, possibly all fundraisers • Review of Boards and Commissions reception 10. 10. Adjourn Motion by Hennen and seconded by Reichert to adjourn the meeting, APIF. Motion carried.
