REGULAR WATER BOARD MEETING
Monday, September 23, 2019

Members Present: Weierke, Snobeck
Members Absent: None
Staff Present: Katy Gehler, Public Works Director/City Engineer, Sue Miller, Administrative Assistant.
Others Present: None
Call to Order: The meeting was called to order by Chair Weierke at 5:00 p.m.
1. Approve Minutes – August 26, 2019 - MOTION by Weierke second by Snobeck to approve
minutes as presented. APIF, Motion Carried.
2. Water Citations - None
3. New Business - None
4. Approve Bills – Motion by Weierke second by Snobeck to approve the bills, as presented, in the
amount of $635,678.88. APIF, Motion Carried.
5. Open Forum – Project & Information Update
a. Well #9 – Work is substantially complete. Sod and trees that have died, will be replaced
in spring under the warranty. Staff is working with the MN DNR and Department of
health on final permitting for the well in anticipation of putting well into service after
Wellhouse 8 improvements are complete. Startup and O&M training with city staff was
the week of 8/26/19. Minor issues with electric and communication have delayed
bringing the well online. Repairs will be made and the wells will be online prior to
hydrant flushing.
b. Westview Acres Street Reconstruction – Substantially Complete
c. Metering System Upgrade – Working with the utility billing vendor and LOGIS to create
the files needed to build the new software.
d. Water Tower – Verizon has scheduled their work. T-Mobile has not indicated a start
date yet.
6. Adjourn – Motion by Snobeck, second by Weierke to adjourn at 5:45PM. APIF, Motion Carried.
