MINUTES
COUNCIL MEETING
SPECIAL WORKSHOP
MARCH 27, 1995
1. Mayor Kuchera called the meeting to order at 7:00 P.M..
Members Present: Kuchera, Ristow, Gamer, Galler, Fitch.
Members Absent: None.
Also Present: Administrator Thompson, Finance Director Henneke,
Parks and Recreation Director Bell, Liquor Store Manager
Asher, HRA Executive Director Henricks, Public Works
Director Kaldunski.
2. The purpose of the workshop was to discuss personnel issues and the
1995/1996 Work Program Budget.
Personnel Issues:
Administrator Thompson outlined various personnel issues as noted in his
March 22, 1995 memo. The following items were noted:
a. various legal issues,
b. the City's Leadership in Action Program,
c. organizational issues - focusing on delegation, accountability,
and new supervisory positions,
d. compensation, noting the comparable worth plan and update, and
the possibility of pay for performance,
e. Labor Management Program,
f. rumors which were affecting trust.
1995/1996 Work Program/Budget (March 22, 1995 memo) .
It was noted that the Finance Committee would be working on this issue
and would report to the Council.
3. MOTION by Ristow, second by Gamer to adjourn at 9:30 P.M.. APIF,
MOTION CARRIED.
