MINUTES
COUNCIL MEETING
SPECIAL
JUNE 26, 1995
1. Mayor Kuchera called the meeting to order at 7:00 P.M..
Members Present: Kuchera, Ristow, Gamer, Galler, Fitch.
Members Absent: None.
Also Present: Administrator Thompson, Parks and Recreation Director Bell,
Public Works Director Kaldunski, HRA Executive Director
Henricks, Finance Director Henneke, Administrative Assistant
Finstuen, Architect Wayne Hilbert.
2. Mr. Hilbert presented an overview of the proposed floor plan.
QUESTIONS/COMMENTS
a. How much space is added? Approximately 1,500 square feet to City
Hall, plus conference rooms and 200 square feet to Police Department.
b. Which departments have the most visitors? Building Inspections,
Planning and Engineering.
c. Handicap accessibility.
d. Council room? Eventually will be moved into the garage space.
e. Possibly modify Council room - move staff off of Council table.
f. Cost estimate - $250,000 - $500,000.
g. Public Works facility - Referendum vs. HRA.
h. Retainer for the architect.
It was the consensus of the Council that:
a. Mr. Hilbert present a proposed retainer agreement.
b. The architect look at shifting Administration/Finance with
Engineering/Building Inspections/Planning.
c. Architect to prepare budget taking equipment needs, phasing and
panel versus stud wall construction.
d. Finance Committee to review proposal.
3. MOTION by Galler, second by Fitch to adjourn at 8:20 P.M.. APIF,
MOTION CARRIED.
