MINUTES
COUNCIL MEETING
SPECIAL
SEPTEMBER 11, 1995
1. Mayor Kuchera called the special meeting to order at 7:00 P.M..
Members Present: Kuchera, Ristow, Galler, Gamer, Fitch.
Members Absent: None.
Also Present: Administrative Assistant Finstuen, Attorney Grannis.
2. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the appointment of an interim City
Administrator.
3. MOTION by Ristow, second by Kuchera to appoint Karen Finstuen as Acting
Administrator and Mary Hanson as Acting Administrative Assistant with a wage increase
of $3.00 per hour for each. APIF, MOTION CARRIED. In addition, it was noted that if
the appointments were accepted, any problems that came about due to inexperience in
the position would not be considered as incompetence. councilmembers Galler and
Fitch would meet weekly to discuss any necessary issues and Mayor Kuchera would also
be available to provide any assistance needed.
4, Parks and Recreation Director Bell discussed the Mighty Ducks Grant funds which
were available to assist with the building of one additional boys and one additional
girls team room at the Ice Arena. He stated that the City would need to provide
matching funds which were available from the Park Improvement Fund. He also wished
to hire Bonestroo, Rosene and Anderlik to prepare an estimate of the cost. Mr. Bell
stated that the grant application was due and he was requesting authorization to
proceed with the work necessary to secure the grant funding. It was the consensus of
the Council that Mr. Bell proceed with the application.
s. MOTION by Ristow, second by Gamer to adjourn at 7:09 P.M.. APIF, MOTION CARRIED.
